Show Information

Coming soon, Stars, the Sudekum Planetarium’s premier show featuring all things celestial.

Hold on to your seats as you ride along on the surface of a star dodging stellar eruptions and viewing explosions igniting right before your eyes. Watch as a star begins to expand, explodes into super nova creating a vast nebula. Your roller coaster ride through space will give you a breathtaking look at our universe, and that’s just the beginning.

Stage and screen actor Mark Hamill will narrate your journey through the stars. The voyage continues with a historic look at how generations have relied on stars. From nomadic tribes that used the stars to tell stories, to the earliest Native Americans that believed the Milky Way was a spiritual river crossing the night sky to 21st century scientists who are learning more about our universe every day, you’ll agree that stars truly are the power houses of the universe.

During Stars, a 26-minute full dome digital production created by the National Space Centre in Leicester, England, you’ll travel to the farthest reaches of our galaxy and experience both the beauty and destructive power of the stars.

The Nashville Symphony Orchestra’s recording of the original score puts the life of Stars to music. You’ll feel like you’re only a few feet away from these fiery balls of gas as you watch Stars on the 63 foot dome with state-of-the-art full dome digital projection system.

Every star has a story - sit tight as Sudekum Planetarium takes you on a stellar voyage.
